How to debate the name calling left

This is a little advice piece on how to handle the liberal/progressive's most powerful weapon, name calling.

Whenever they are being defeated in a debate or conversation, will fall back on the cries of
“That’s racist, that’s sexist, that’s homophobic, that’s white supremacisT,  you are  Nazi, in fact you are a reincarnation of Hitler',
This crude approach is rightly termed the ad hominen type OF ARGUMENT you are losing the argument so
attack the man/woman on a personal level.

So here is a No 1 rule when debating with someone of a liberal leftist bent
at the outset say
''I will debate the matter with you with the proviso you do not resort to name calling or personal insult.'

If they (Liberals) do resort to name calling, just walk away, no doubt the name calling out
will follow you (my experience on many occasions)  as you exit the hall or room.

They no doubt will feel vindicated, you know that they have lost the argument by their resorting to the personal insult.

Ad hominem (Latin for "to the man" or "to the person"), is in which an argument is rebutted by attacking the character, motive, or other attribute of the person making the argument, rather than attacking the substance of the argument itself.

Character assassination is a deliberate and sustained process that destroys the credibility and reputation of a person, institution, organization, social group, or nation.[1] Agents of character assassinations employ a mix of open and covert methods to achieve their goals, such as raising false accusations, planting and fostering rumours, and manipulating information.

Character assassination is an attempt to tarnish a person's reputation. It may involve exaggeration, misleading half-truths, or manipulation of facts to present an untrue picture of the targeted person. It is a form of defamationand can be a form of ad hominem argument.
