Left leaning intellectuals and bovine complacency

"Bovine complacency" is one way of describing  left wing intellectuals who spend their time chipping away at the foundations of society propogating their idealism.

 

 In the Uk such dubious figures have stealthily ingratiated themselve  to dominate the soft culture of the BBC and our universities

  But as they are the ones who now hold sway in the media, we,  are the ones who are the passive recipients of their liberal agenda theology.

One day, and perhaps that day is near with the fragility of the World wide economy, the populace will wake up the self-interest of those who tell us how to think. 

 Edmund Burke 1790, yes 1790,  gives us an insight in what he feels is the 'real' would

Burke pointed out that "...a dozen grasshoppers under a fern make the field ring with their importunate chink, while thousands of great cattle, reposed beneath the shadow of the British oak, chew the cud and are silent, pray do not imagine, that those who make the noise are the only inhabitants of the field."
